Versigen is expanding its popular Versicarte mobile counter range for schools, with the launch of the new Pop-up models.
The new Pop-up Versicartes offer school caterers increased versatility. They are an ideal way of serving special menu items away from the main servery area, reducing bottlenecks. Designed for maximum visual impact, the units house eye-catching magnetic graphics to promote the latest menu offering. The signs can be easily removed and swapped to promote specials, such as themed lunches or new summer menus.
Regularly refreshing the signage will help boost meal take up as well as promoting new initiatives. Caterers will benefit most from signs that can be reused, such as a general football themed graphic that can be used to promote various international tournaments, as well as signs for other events, for example, comic relief, Christmas menus, school sports day or pupil design competitions etc. Graphics packages are available from Versigen and include a high level top banner, front banner and two side panels. However, the graphic signs are a standard style, so schools can use local companies to prepare new signs.
The Pop-up Versicartes are available for hot or cold food. The cold model features refrigerated wells that are ideal for keeping chilled salad and snacks at safe serving temperatures, while the heated model features a bains marie to keep menu items at the optimum temperature. All heated units have Versigen’s Sahara fan heating system, which maintains food quality and safety while ensuring energy efficiency.
The mobile units are perfect for school canteens that are also used for other purposes, such as assemblies and sports, as they can be easily wheeled in and plugged into a standard 10amp plug, then moved and stored after use.
Constructed from robust stainless steel, the units are built to last. Removable grid shelves make cleaning easy and in the heated and refrigerated units help ensure effective air circulation.
The units feature an illuminated gantry, with safety bulbs, and a glass shelf to show food off to its best advantage. A glass sneeze screen protects the food. Optional tray rails and slides and drop-down end shelves can be used for maximising profits through impulse purchases or for storing condiments and napkins.
The new Pop-up Versicartes are available from Versigen with a two-year warranty.
