Melform is an Italian manufacturer of portable refrigerated containers providing extremely precise temperature control within +/- 0.5 degrees Celsius. These refrigerators are designed for controlled temperature distribution of pharmaceutical and food products. Total control and management of the cold chain process is provided by an optional USB data logger to monitor and report all stages of dispatch, transport and delivery of temperature-sensitive goods.
The refrigerators can be easily transported in any vehicle and are fitted with dual power inputs, allowing the units to be connected to the vehicle's battery (or auxiliary battery) and then connected to mains power at the destination.
Using Koala Refrigerators, a single non-refrigerated vehicle can simultaneously transport Chilled, Frozen and Ambient-Temperature products, ensuring Complete Cold Chain Management.

The Koala 80 AS has a hinged top opening and the container has a stable, uniform and controlled internal temperature that can be set between 0ᵒ C to + 10ᵒ Celsius, with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 degrees Celsius, with very fast temperature recovery after the top has been opened and closed.

*ATP Certification
The initials ATP stand for Accord Transport Perishable - the French short term of agreement on the international carriage of perishable foodstuffs and on the special equipment to be used for such carriage. The ATP was signed in Geneva on the 1st September 1970 for the purpose of guaranteeing consumers that their food products would be be transported and delivered under appropriate hygiene conditions. The agreement includes a set of technical and health standards that specify the requisites that must be met by equipment used for food transport and setting out the control procedures needed to ensure their compliance.
A manufacturer of complying equipment is provided an ATP certificate for six years following an initial inspection and approval of a manufacturer's production facility, followed by additional inspections every three years.
The ATP standards require equipment to maintain the following product temperatures during transport:
Vaccines +2ᵒ C to +8ᵒ C (5ᵒ C is optimal*)
Chilled Food Products +2ᵒ C to +5ᵒ

All Melform portable refrigerators can be supplied with an ATP certificate at no additional cost.
